Cooperative Granat produces garnet and modern gold and silver jewellery, cuts
gem and synthetic stones. Cooperates on various avant-garde and studio projects,
starts to develop production of art designed souvenirs
(various miniatures of objects meaningfull for tourists) and technical perfect gift miniatures. Cooperative Granat
is able to satisfy customers in production of unique jewels according to the individual wish and is able
to supply larger series too. There are
ten shops in Czech Republic, which serve to our customers. Cooperative employs
altogether 500 workers in goldsmith and silversmith production, cutting of stones, in preparation of
metal semi-finished products, in mining of garnet stones,
in development, in firm shops, in marketing etc. Granat exports its products into various European
states, United States and Japan. One year turn-over is 300 mil. Crowns. Part of
own assets is 98% in the total value.
The company Granát was awarded with numerous acknowledgements for its production, i.e. in the Word Exhibitions EXPO Brussels 1958, Montreal 1967 and GRAND PRIX Osaca.

Granat at EXPO 2005
The co-operative Granát is the only operator of all legal mining of Bohemian garnets in the Czech territory.
In the Czech Republic, there are only two protected areas approved by the state, where Bohemian garnets can
be extracted. Nowadays, both deposits are subjected to 100 % usage by DUV Granát.
As the Bohemian garnets are so famous, they are imitated and offered in the Czech market and
elsewhere, even with the protected mark "Bohemian garnet".
Therefore, if you truly want to have an original jewel made by Czech jewellers, buy them with a
manufacturer's certificate or from a certified seller only.
