l. o velmi vzacne se vyskytujici zbytky granatove suroviny nebo vybrousenych granatu z pozustalosti po brusicich a obchodnicich s granaty.
2. o granaty z nelegalni pokoutni tezby.

Information of co-operative of artistic manufacturing "Granat": Bohemian garnet jewels belong among esteemed products and this results in production of fakes. They are offered on the Bohemian market, sometimes even with the brand name "Bohemian Garnet". Therefore, if you want to own genuine jewels made by the Czech jewel-producers, purchase those accompanied by manufacturer´s certificate or visit a certified seller. Jewels produced by us have the hallmark G, G1, G2.

Hallmark-Punzezeichen

The co-operative Granat is the only operator of all legal mining of Bohemian garnets in the Czech territory. In the Czech Republic, there are only two protected areas approved by the state, where Bohemian garnets can be extracted. Nowadays, both deposits are subjected to 100 % usage by DUV Granát. If other manufacturers mark their garnet jewels as those containing original Bohemian garnets and this statement proves to be true, it shall concern:
1. Very rarely occurring leftovers of garnet raw materials or cut garnets left behind by garnet cutters and sellers;
2. Garnets from illicit extraction.
